Altadena artist who lost home in fire is trying to capture 'beauty for ashes'. Spectrum 1 News

Spectrum 1 reporter Tara Lynn Wagner interviews Keni Arts on the streets of Altadena as he paints the aftermath of the January 7, 2025 Eaton Fire.

Ask Keni Arts how long it takes him to complete a painting and he will tell you, “One hour and fifty years.” After losing his home and artwork in the Eaton fire, he's revisiting sites he painted before—now destroyed—to capture memories before they're cleared. His work preserves the city's history and reminds people the community is still here and rebuilding.
