Artist's paintings help Altadena community heal after Eaton Fire
NBC News reporter Jonathan Gonzalez interviews Keni Arts on the streets as he paints the aftermath of the Eaton Fire.
Keni Arts, an Altadena plein air watercolorist, documents his community's destruction after the Eaton fire. He paints before-and-after scenes of beloved local landmarks, many now gone. Having lost his own home and nearly all his artwork, Keni uses painting to process tragedy and offer hope for renewal in Altadena; in particular in his historic black community.
