For 40 years, Keni Arts has painted Altadena landmarks in watercolor. After losing his home, studio, and artwork in the January 8th fire, he created "Beauty for Ashes"—a series revisiting sites he once painted, now showing ash and rubble. He paints on street corners, talking with residents, finding beauty in what remains.
