Shaker Without Salt

I’ve been a somewhat satisfied customer of Shakers restaurant for many years. I go way back to Shakers when it was the Salt Shakers on Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena.

I wasn’t happy when the Arroyo location closed, but I was content to drive a few extra miles to the Shakers in South Pasadena. I became a ‘somewhat satisfied customer’ when they changed the recipe of their carrot cake. The taste is different and it’s not as nutty.

Still, I’ll go to Shakers on occasion. This occasion was for my wife’s birthday. She likes their quiche.

Fortunately, their service is still good, so that’s another reason to continue to support them.
