Description
Charles White was an artist of African American descent. His expressive and dramatic paintings and drawings shined a spotlight on the struggles of African Americans. White taught at Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles for many years. Later in his career, he moved to Altadena, CA and had his studio in the bridge tower of Castle Green Hotel in Pasadena.
