Description
In completing this painting, I intended to put a faint glow over the mountains as though it was an early morning sunrise. However, my watercolors did as watercolors often do. They go where they want to go and take on their own personality. Sometimes, I push back. This time, I stood back and watched.
As I looked at the completed painting, I reminisced of the time in 2020 when the Bob Cat fire threatened the Mount Wilson Observatory. I did a painting of the Observatory, which was presented to officials of Mount Wilson. As circumstance would have it, I was later able to paint inside the observatory.
